Cousin Visit to DC (April)

While cousins were in town for Elizabeth's baptism we did some tourist things around DC.  We went over to Fords Theater, the museum across the street and for pics in front of the White House.  Lizzie was a trooper for our trips but was very tired and unhappy on the drive home while we were stuck in traffic.  It was worth it though, we love cousin time!!

They insisted on making a lemonade stand.  We have such little traffic on our street, I warned them it wouldn't be very profitable.  Thanks to a few good neighbors they made a few bucks.  :)

Elizabeth's Baptism (April 19, 2015)

The service for Elizabeth's baptism was held at our church and we were so fortunate to have all of our immediate family here for it.  The Stutts side traveled over from Alabama and my family from Maryland and DC.  Carrie Godmother drove over from Annapolis too.  Elizabeth wore the same gown and slip that Julianna and Mason wore for their Baptism.  This is the gown that Ike wore home from the hospital.  His sister, Jennie Marie, wore it for her baptism and all 3 of her children wore the slip underneath (different gown on top).  Nana has everyones monogram inside the slip with their date of birth.  It's a great family keepsake.  She was a very good girl and did not cry during the ceremony.  She looked so beautiful.  We are so blessed by this baby and she is so loved.

We are in the middle of a sermon series called "Like a Child" so please excuse the jungle gym in front of us.  ha  It is not USUALLY there!

Aunt Carrie is expecting a blessing of her own to arrive in early June.  We can't wait!

We are so thankful to Carrie for accepting the role of Godmother for all 3 of our children.  She is a huge presence in their lives and loves them so much.

Way more comfortable in this onesie!! ahhhhhh :)

Cherry Blossoms in DC

Elizabeth took her first metro ride into the district to see the cherry blossoms.  We went on the Monday following the peak weekend.  It was still really crowded but much more pleasant than on that weekend.  We got there just in time because the next day it rained and I think all of the blossoms fell off!

Amelia's Baptism in Cambridge

Amelia's baptism was in Cambridge at the church Chad and I grew up in.  My parents still attend at St. Pauls UMC.  It was a lovely service and Amelia looked beautiful in her gown.
After the ceremony Mom and Dad hosted a nice brunch at the Cambridge Yacht Club for Amelia's baptism and for everyone to meet Elizabeth since many of our extended family had not yet been able to meet either of the baby girls.  The kids all loved walking the docks and looking at the boats.

Love the pictures of the kids.  These are my cousin's children and it's so special that they all enjoy being together as much as I did with my cousins.

Temperance, Maddie, Julianna, Ryan, Luke, Mason and Garrett.

Ike took all of the pics but this one of our 2 oldest has to be my favorite.  It was a little too windy for Elizabeth to join them on the docs. :)

Big Kid Stuff - Snow and TBall

The big kids had plenty of opportunities to play in the snow this winter. It took til mid April to even feel like spring weather would ever come!

Once the snow finally melted it was time for Spring sports to begin.  Here are a few of Mason's Tball opening day.  I'll have to do another post with Julianna's lacrosse stuff.  She's playing again and loving it.

Go Red Sox!  Hope you have a great season and we are proud of you, Mason!

Elizabeth's first month and way too many pictures!

To say we are in love is the biggest understatement ever.  Everyone always says this and no one ever gets it until they have a child.  And I have to say that adding siblings into the mix just makes the love grow exponentially.  We have surely been blessed.  And we are so thankful.
The kids were home more than we expected in the first few weeks due to snow.  However, they were very helpful with helping to entertain the baby.  Mason loved to bring her toys while she was on the changing table.

The flash gave her a funny face but she looks so cute in her bed all swaddled up and with crazy hair.

We did lots of napping in the first few weeks.

Lucy could not believe we brought another small person into the house to torture her.  She also realized that means she will now get even less attention.  ha

She has Mason wrapped around her little finger the most.  He is smitten to say the least.  When she cries he's the first to run and try to give her a paci and he says to her "Don't worry."  Melts my heart.

Lucy eventually decided she wasn't that bad and remembered that eventually she will start to drop snacks on the floor.

Lots of snow kept us indoors which was fine with me.  I love our little haven in the master bedroom which we are currently sharing with Elizabeth.  We snuggle and enjoy the view of the snow.

As the days went on Elizabeth showed us more of her silly faces and expressions.  This was a favorite picture for a while.

Like I said above, watching the kids with her is an amazing experience.  They love her so much and take turns holding her and loving on her.

Elizabeth put on her snow suit and joined them outside just for a few minutes and a few pics.  Next year she will probably be enjoying it with them.

This was her first trip to church.

Around 2 weeks old Nee Nee and Pop Pop came for a snuggling session.

The snow finally melted enough to go for a little stroll.

Well, Mom, how do you think we are doing?  I think we have had a wonderful first month and we couldn't love you any more!

We survived month one!!  We are getting pretty good sleep and nursing is going very well. Thank you for being a wonderful little baby.
