Air Show

Last weekend was the Air Show at the base. I was so excited for a chance for the kids to wear their matching pilot wings shirts. So before we headed over to the XO's house to watch some of the planes, it was time for a photo shoot.

Look at him smiling and look how beautiful her eyes are.

Oh, never mind. Photo shoot is over, here comes a plane by our house!

And he's off!

We made it to the XO's house. They live right by the runway on base so it was a fantastic view.

He was mesmerized.

I don't know what kind of planes these were. They were just doing some tricks. There was also a helicopter that did tricks and it made me so uncomfortable to watch. Let's just say that from my point of view, no helicopter should ever be flying upside down.
Julianna smashed her fingers in the door at the XO's house and had a little coming apart about it so we decided to head home and watch the rest there.

Mason fell asleep in the car on the way home so Julianna and I sat on the front porch to read and wait for the Blue Angels to fly by. She said she wanted to read a book to so I told her to go in a get one and she could read with me. She came back with one of MY books, Julie and Julia. She sat there and flipped through that book for about 30 mins. There are no pictures. She just pretended to do exactly what I was doing. She even was sitting like me.

About this time Mason woke up. Something about 6 jets flying directly over your house disturbs your sleep.

Here they come!! It was loud. I was too zoomed in because I was holding Mason with one arm and couldn't take proper pictures one handed.

It's amazing how close they are together.

So impressive every time I see it.

The weather was gorgeous.

I love these pics.

And there I am holding Mason and taking pictures. He is signing "airplane."

My assistant

Every time I try to fold clothes my little assistant shows up to "help" me. This is usually what he does and then he unfolds everything I have already folded. It can be extremely frustrating but I just have to laugh. This kid is a hoot.

Twins

Bubba got all dressed up to go to Pearl Harbor and the Aviation Museum one day and Mason just LOVED his shirt. It had airplanes all over it and Mason is obsessed with planes. It is the only thing that he does in sign language and he does it every time he hears or sees and airplane. So, when Bubba saw one in Mason's size he just HAD to get it. How funny is this?!

This view never gets old.

North Shore

We drove up to the North Shore this week to show Bethany and Bubba all of the tourist spots. We hit up Matsumoto's for shave ice and of course went to take a few pics at Dole. They have also done some touring around on their own. It's been a good week!

Dentist

Yesterday both of the kids had a dentist appointment at 2:30. Yes that's right, tooth hurty. HAHA They both did great and here are a few pics to prove it.
Lots of fun in the waiting room. Can you tell it's a pediatric dentist?

Julianna went first and hopped right in the chair. I love that she's not afraid of seeing the dentist or the doctor. She did great and had no cavities!

Mason was next. Julianna took this pic for me. He looks terrified but he actually was not. The appointment happened to be right smack in the middle of nap time and he had a little fever. But he did great! He has 7 teeth all the way in, and 1 about half way. We were in and out of there so fast.... why can't the grown up dentist be like that?
