Bummer!

Well, always something going on around here. Last week Mason had his little surgery for his ears followed by a doctors visit for a nasty sounding cough. He is mostly over his, but now this little bugger is hacking away and really feeling crappy. This all started Monday night with the cough, then her 4 year old shots on Tuesday afternoon. Soon after that came a fever and before I knew it she was the most pitiful little thing I've ever seen. I took her back to the doc today because she just couldn't stop coughing. Her fever started to climb while we were there and she actually fell asleep on my lap right in the middle of the appointment. Tonight she curled herself up on the couch and fell asleep while I was giving Mason his dinner. We don't really know if this is a virus that she had coming before the shots, or the shots plus an asthma/allergy attack. Either way, I just want my chicken noodle to feel better! She's been home from school the last 2 days and unfortunately she's gonna miss her Halloween parade and party tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be better by Saturday so we can go to another Halloween party as well as a birthday party. I hope we don't miss ALL of the Halloween fun. She's been looking forward to it! Pray for my baby!!

Princess Party

My little princess got all dressed up to head over to her friend's Princess Birthday Party.

She was so excited that her hair was long enough for me to do a "fancy" hairstyles with it.

When we got there we saw the Princess Bouncy Castle. Mason LOVES the bouncy house.

They sat around and talked to Max.

Then took a whack at the pinata.

She really liked the swing... until she realized there were ant all over it. :(

Time for cake. Yum yum!

And here is a vision of Julianna and her husband sitting out on the front porch about 70 years from now. (She told me a month or so ago that she was going to marry this little boy.)

Isabelle the birthday girl.

Ok Mom, party is over. Let's ROLL!!

Adventures with NeeNee and PopPop

Mom and Dad took the kids down to the Aloha Tower one day for some sightseeing.

Nice views of Honolulu.

Harbor.

NeeNee with the kids.

So pretty.

I have not been up the tower yet, it looks nice. We tried to go back another day but it was closed so I didn't make my way to the top.

Silly!

So cute. My little hawaiian blondie!

Another day while the kids were both at school I took Mom and Dad to the hike the Pill Boxes.

About half way.

Pill Box 1 looking towards Marine Corps Base Hawaii and the coastline of Kailua Beach.

It's a super hard hike. haha

My shadow is waving. Dad is climbing down and Mom is down much further.

Me and my Dad.

And a little birdie friend came to visit on the beach while Julianna and Pop Pop were swimming.

Mom and Dad are off to the Big Island of Hawaii this weekend. Their trip is almost over! We only have 2 more days with them once they return to Oahu. :( It went by fast but that means that it's getting closer and closer to Ike coming home. One more set of visitors scheduled then DADDY!!

Fall Festival

Sassy Tinkerbell had a fall fest at school and had a ball.

She bounced and bounced.

And hung out with her little friends.

She told me she was going to marry this one. I like his mother so we'll see where it goes. :)

More friends.

Jack-o-lantern Mason ran around all night long. It was so cute to see her playing with her classmates. I wish I got to help out with her class more often. Maybe the next field trip I can tag along.

Mason's Surgery

Before. Still happy. :)

We got to the hospital around 8am, checked in and then just waited.

Waiting to go back and playing with PopPop.

The surgery lasted about 10 minutes total. I went with him to the room and stayed with him until he fell asleep from the gas. Sweet little thing was saying "mama" under the mask until he fell asleep. I don't know how much I actually liked being in there. I never got to go in with either of Julianna's surgeries. He was sleeping like this when they rolled him back to recovery.

Sleeping it off.

Just woke up and snuggling with Mommy. He seemed a little confused but woke up really well.

Home and feeling good. Watching a movie.

He did great today. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers everything went super smooth and we were at the hospital for less than 3 hours total. He has been home playing like a wild man, that anesthesia can't slow him down!!

I have to do WHAT??

This was the face Mason made when I told him he was having ear tubes put in tomorrow morning. Ok, not really, but if he had any idea what was going on he would probably make a similar face. Honestly his ear has been bothering him so much lately that I am really happy that the surgery is tomorrow morning. Please pray for everything to go super smoothly and for the best possible results. We have to be at the hospital at 8am and the surgery should be some time between 930 and 10am. I know it is a very quick and common procedure (Julianna had tubes put in when she was 2) but I'm sure I will still get nervous when he goes back. I love my boy and I hope he feels so much better after this. And while you are praying for us, send out a prayer for Ike too. I can't imagine being so far away and not knowing what was happening with the children every minute of the day. The last time he deployed Julianna had surgery for an epigastric hernia repair. So this has happened to him twice!! Can't imagine. Anyway, think of us all!!! I'll let you know how everything goes.

Sunset

On the same day we watched the sun rise we also saw the sun set. Yes, there was a nap in between!

And here are a few other random pictures from the day.
Nee Nee and the kids looking down from the balcony.

This was right outside of the lobby area.

Pop Pop and Julianna while she slept at lunch.

She was so tired from waking up in the middle of the night to see the sun rise. She finally passed out and slept through the majority of dinner.

She finally woke up and posed for a few pics. Most of the ones of she and I together were blurry but this one was the best of the bunch.
