Getting ready for Halloween

Our pumpkin has been carved.

How does it look? We had a little issue when carving it. It was supposed to have a bottom tooth but it accidentally broke while we were pulling the mouth piece out. I said "Oh, Julianna thats ok. Tell Daddy that's ok." She said "No, I can't tell him that because it's NOT ok. That tooth won't grow back ya know!!" hahaha Poor Daddy. I think our little one toof pumpkin looks cute.

Here is our princess in another one of her costumes. She had a Halloween birthday party today and decided to go as Rapunzel. The blonde wig looked so real it was almost the exact same color as her real hair. This is not her actual Halloween costume. You'll have to wait to see that tomorrow. ;)

Mommy's Day Out

On Saturday, I got to go to the Joint Spouses Conference over at Hickam Air Force Base. It is an opportunity for spouses from all branches to come together and take part in various workshops. They have lots of historical workshops, finances, traveling, etc. Of course I didn't take any of those. I did stand up paddle boarding, cupcake making, chocolate paradise and photography. It was so much fun.
I had been gone all day and even thought I had a great time I was happy to come home to these 2. They are not used to me leaving them home with Daddy all day. I got several "Welcome Home" notes and drawings. Pretty cute.

Fall Festival

Julianna's school had a fall festival last Friday and the kids had a great time. Everything was FREE (which I liked!). Free pony rides, free games, free mini-carnival rides, even free pumpkins and free cotton candy!
I couldn't believe Mason actually wanted to ride. I thought he would be scared but he was excited.

Of course it helps that Sissy was so excited to ride.

Julianna was in costume (as a hula girl, I know... how original) and Mason was just festive in his pumpkin shirt. They waited patiently (no really, they did!) for their turn.

Look at them in their little cage. I wish I had one of these in my back yard.

And I have decided that 4-5 is when they are no longer afraid of people in costumes. She LOVES them. Mace on the other hand, not so much.

Meow!! We're in the Halloween spirit around here. We're actually starting to get in the Christmas mood. Julianna has been practicing for her Christmas show and we have already watched The Grinch and The Polar Express. It will be here before we know it!!

Halloween Parties

Last weekend we had 2 Halloween parties. One for us and one for the kids. As you can see, Ike and I went all out.
Just incase you don't watch tv... we went as DOG the Bounty Hunter and his wife, Beth. The costumes were a hit and we had fun time at the party.

The next day was the kids party. Mason didn't feel like wearing a costume but he did agree to wear his bat shirt.

Julianna chose this costume from her dress up pile. A cute little kitty.

They had great crafts for the kids. And fun games too!

It was a good weekend but as usual I am behind. After the party we realized that Mason had an ear infection. We spent the week sick, him with an ear infection and me with a cold and laryngitis. He is all better and I got my voice back but I still don't feel 100%. The sore throat won't go away. I have lots of pics that haven't made their way to the blog. I don' t know why I've been so lazy about it. I'll get caught up one of these days!

Busy Week!

As usual, I'm playing catch up. Here's what we've been doing.
Ike and I went to the Navy Ball at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.

It was a nice out, all dressed up, and no kids!! We had an overnight sitter and stayed in Waikiki. Lots of fun.

But, we were ready to get back to these faces.

Well, maybe not this face. ha

Julianna had a field trip to the fire station. I got to go with her class while Mason was at his school and I enjoyed spending time with her and her friends.

Cheese!

Big girl finished her swimming lessons and earned her trophy. She is now a completely independent swimmer! WOOHOO!

Mason found this ancient artifact. Did anyone know they still had phone booths?

Now it's the weekend again and we have 2 Halloween parties to go to. One for us and one for the kids. I'll try not to get so behind on the blog. :)

Day 2 of Surprises

Sunday morning we woke up with one more surprise for the birthday girl.
MICKEY MOUSE!!

She wrote him a note and drew him a picture to tell him we were leaving.

She got this special birthday treat! Yummy!

She absolutely loved being with the characters. But, was ready to get back to the pool.

And honestly, with a pool this cool, who wouldn't want to get in there?

After all of this excitement these two were worn out. Mission accomplished! :)

The big 05! :)

This little nugget turns 5 on Monday!! So, for her birthday we took a surprise trip to the new Disney Resort, Aulani. It is AMAZING. Everything Disney does is wonderful and this was no exception. She had no idea we were going and was very happy with her birthday surprise. Here are the pics from our first day.

After all of the excitement and fun in the sun this princess needed a nice bath, lotion massage and a snuggle in the soft robe.

While she was relaxing Mason and I were doing this. We were POOPED! No nap for him and they both played hard all day. He was asleep in about 30 seconds. It was a very fun first day! More tomorrow. :)
