Cooking with Dad

Daddy has been passing down some "good husband" traits to Mason. Teaching him to cook and be handy around the house.  Thanks Dad!  :)  His future wife will thank you.

The fish was really yummy!

Valentine's Day

The kids enjoyed their Valentine's surprises.  I was pleased to be asked to be both of their Valentine's again this year.  I wonder how long that will last?  (sigh)  Anyway, while they are still my little Valentines I am enjoying it.

After school Mason's friend, Michael, came over to help us make some cookies.  The next thing I knew our house was filled with double super heroes!

Can you tell which is a Collins and which is a Stutts?

Nana and Papa

Nana, Papa and the whole crew came for a visit in the beginning of February.  We try so hard to get good pics of all of the children but it can sometimes be like herding cats.  Here are some of the best ones I had... I am sure JM had better ones on her "real" camera.

We had a great visit.  Thanks for coming to see us!

Pizza Dough

We found a new pizza place in Old Town that we really liked.  The kids got to play with a ball of dough while we waited and they really enjoyed that.

This is what we get when Mason takes control of the camera!

Mount Vernon with my little buddy

Mason and I took a little trip to Mt Vernon and just walked around the visitors center.  They have a little kids room and no one was there so we had the run of the place.  He really enjoyed it.  Ever since our first trip there last summer he has become slightly obsessed about George Washington.  So this was the perfecting outing for us.

Art Work

Julianna is our little artist.  She love to draw, paint, and just create in general.  She is always making masks for them to put on a show, writing notes and she loves to draw.  She got this paint/artist set for Christmas and did this water color of Lucy.  She used a picture of Lucy as a puppy sitting on the rocks in Annapolis.

I love it.  I think she did a great job.  The only thing I helped her with was Lucy's nose.  She kept "messing up."  I just have to say I am thrilled with her abilities because I draw like a kindergartner myself.

The next week we use the acrylic paint do make this bird.  She and I worked on this one together.  We got started but her attention span was short this day so we worked together.  The idea was hers, she sketched it.  I just helped with some finishing details.

This is Mason's masterpiece.  It's a self portrait (obviously).  It does have a face but it is very light and you can't see it well in this picture.
