VBS

Julianna attended Vacation Bible School for the first time this year. She really enjoyed herself. The title this year was Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace.

Here she is in her group. Her buddy Nyla was in the same group so they had a good time together.

Working on a project.

Showing the teacher what she did.

At the end of each night they earned a "coin" with a bible verse on it. She's putting hers in her pocket.

Some of the decorations.

All of the kids and adults did a great job.

Here she is showing off her eye makeup.

Here she is just being silly.

Little brother was too young to participate but he sure did enjoy riding down to the church to drop her off and pick her up. What a smile. Soon enough he'll be going to VBS!

Birthdays are fun

I woke up Saturday morning to breakfast in bed, fixed by Julianna and Ike. After breakfast we moved right on to cake and presents.

Julianna was so excited that they had surprises for me. She had been keeping secrets for over a week and I could tell she was about to explode.

I love how she decorated the envelope for me. She was telling me all about the picture. The two little people at the bottom show Mason walking to her.

I loved the drawings just as much as the presents.

This was what Daddy let her pick out.

Pink scuba goggles.

Then I had this big present to open. She told me all about this picture too. On the left hand side she and I are riding my bike together. She is in the back in her new seat. Right above us is Daddy in his helicopter. Another favorite part is on the right hand side where Mason is playing in the grass. Top right by the I Love You are balloons for my birthday. I love this!

The kids helped me open it up.

Mason liked eating the tissue paper.

And this is me all decked out in my new scuba gear. Ike is taking me diving next weekend. I am really excited (and a bit nervous.)

They thought I looked pretty funny.

This is a good look, don't you think?

Then my wonderful hubby had a nice surprise for me. I thought the whole family was going out to dinner to celebrate but he secretly had our babysitter all lined up and reservations at Morton's Steakhouse.

We had to get a few pics before we left. These are my 2 favorite boys. Mason was a hoot smiling for the camera.

Family pic before we headed out.

Thank you everyone for the birthday cards, gifts and well wishes. I look forward to another year of enjoying our new home, family and friends.

10 months

These pics are a little throwback to Julianna when she was around a year old.

My big man turned 10 months old today! I honestly can't believe it. He is becoming such a little boy all of a sudden and no longer seems like a baby. He is getting better and better at walking. He just needs a little bit of confidence. He has lots of new "tricks." He still has not said Mama, but he always calls for Dada. He also asks for his "baba" when he is hungry. He waves byebye and hello and sometimes actually says "byebye." He says "Uh Oh" when ever he drops something which of course he thinks is hilarious so he does it over and over again. When I tell him "no" he shakes his head no and often times does it on his own when he knows he is doing something that he shouldn't be doing. I don't even have to say it, he already knows. He also signs "all done" when he is eating and says something that sounds like "all da" while he is signing it. He has reached a really fun age and it is so much fun to watch him learning. You can just see the little wheels in his brain turning. He loves his Mama (even though he won't say it), he loves to play with his Dada, but he LOOOOOVVVVEEEESSS his Sissy. She loves to hold his hand and help him walk. This 10 months has been such an adventure and I am so in love with my happy little boy. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with 2 beautiful, smart children.

Playtime with Mason

Mason loves to play and be silly. He is a boy all the way and loves to rough house. He also thinks it's pretty funny to be naked.

Father's Day

These are a few of the things that Julianna brought home from preschool. I love the little projects that they do and I love how children answer questions about their parents. She actually did a pretty good job with his. The one that really made me laugh was that his favorite drink is "milk." I am pretty sure I have NEVER seen Ike drink a glass of milk in the 10 years that we have been together.

Daddy's Weekend

We are getting ready for Father's Day and celebrating all weekend. We had a great family day yesterday with a picnic with Ike's entire squadron at the beach. This morning we all snuggled in bed and gave Daddy some extra cuddles.

This afternoon we went shopping for a new bike for Daddy (I just got a new one too) and seats for the kids. And we all went for a little ride. Both of the kids loved it!

Big boy on the back wore shoes all day for the first time. He wants to get down everywhere and I didn't want him walking all over the place barefoot. Shoes make him look so big. What a big boy on the back of that bike. We can't wait to celebrate Daddy tomorrow and I hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day.
Happy Father's Day to my Daddy too. I love you!

Baby Steps

Here is a video of Mason's first few tries at walking totally alone. He doesn't get very far but he is getting more and more confident with each try.
My commentary in the background is pretty funny. I am talking to Ike on the phone while I am recording it. "He's doing it. He's doing it." :)

Big Step

Big steps literally!!! Mason took his first steps tonight after Daddy got home from work. The best part is that he was walking to his Sissy. Man he loves her!!! He is by no means "walking" yet but he did do several steps in a row by himself. It won't be long until he is all over the place. Time is going by SO FAST! I cannot believe he is already 9.5 months old. BIG BOY!!!

Can you tell me how to get...

... to Sesame Street?
Evidently Sesame Street is in Honolulu. :)

We packed up the clan and headed to see our favorite TV friends.

Me and my 2 favorite blue eyed, blonde haired kids.

We surprised Julianna. We told her we were going to the mall. She was really excited when she realized she was going to see a show.

Mason didn't stay in that carrier for long. He was really in to the show.

She couldn't wait for it to start!

Mason couldn't wait to climb over the back of this chair.

OH BOY!!!! Here they are!!!

We were only 4 rows back so she had a great view. She danced and sang along.

At intermission they sucker the parents into buying one of these $10 Elmo balloons. We told Julianna we didn't have any money. She believed us.

After the show we went to Dave and Busters for dinner and games with a few other families from our squadron that were also at the show. Julianna had a blast!

I love their faces! haha

We're getting her ready for the slots. Maybe we'll plan a trip to Vegas.

We didn't get home til 10pm and the kids were great sports but were fast asleep when we got home.

Isn't Ike cute when he's sleeping. Oh, I mean, Mason.
