Something is missing... ?

On Julianna's first day of school (Sept 3) she had a very exciting evening.  She went to bed as usual but about 10 mins after we put her to bed we hear "MY TOOTH CAME OUT!!!!"  We ran in to her room and I swear she looked like a vampire.  So much blood was dripping from her mouth. It was hilarious (and gross).  Watching her look at herself in the mirror with that tooth missing was so funny.  It's been a week now and she's learning how to smile normally again without exaggerating the missing tooth.  The other top front tooth is loose so I'm sure before too long that one will be gone too.  She'll be singing "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" this year!!

School Days 2013

The school year is officially off and running.  Julianna started last week and Mason started today.  She loves school and could not wait to start.  He loves Mommy and would rather be here with me... all day.  They couldn't be more different and that's why I love them both so much.
Julianna was so ready to go... she wanted me to drop her off across the street so she could walk over to the school all by herself.  I at least wanted to walk her to the front door of the school but at the same time I wanted to encourage the independence.  Luckily for me Mason yells from the stroller "I want to walk her to the school!"  So, I blamed it on Mason and asked if we could at least walk her to the door.  She rolled her eyes and said "Uggghh, I guess."  What a sweetie.  :)
Today was Mason's first day and I honestly thought he might not even get out of the car but he was very brave and surprisingly happy going in to the school.  He found his backpack hook with his name, hung it up, got some hand sanitizer (we call it magic soap) and I signed him in.  I was pretty impressed... it was going much better than I had anticipated.  Just then he overhears a teacher telling another student that her Mommy had to go now so that the teachers could take care of her.  Warning: Stage 5 Clinger!!  He was suddenly stuck to me like velcro. I literally had to peel him off of me.  I was very proud of him though.  He did not scream and cry.  (He was pretty pissed.) He allowed the teacher redirect him and I ran for my life.  I have no idea what's happening right now as I type this.  Hopefully he's over it and playing.  (He's been there for 45 mins as I type this.)  When a friend dropped off her son in the same class she said he was not crying.  He was just standing by the window and he looked mad.  Wonderful.  He'll be mad at me all week, absolutely LOVE me on the weekends and then Monday will come around and he will realize we are doing it all over again! haha  I hope he gets used to it soon.
Long story just to say the school year has officially started and I can't wait to see what it holds.  They both are very bright and learn so much.  I am so proud of them and love being their Mom.
