Sunday Sessions

I love to take pictures on Sunday mornings when the kids are all dressed for church. It's the only time we really dress up here. The look so cute, I know I am biased. :)

Exciting Morning

Wednesday morning we woke up early to go greet Air Force Two. It was so early in the morning it was dark. Some of my pics came out a little blurry but overall I was pleased with what I got.

Ike and a group of guys got to go out and greet the Vice President when he came off the plane.

Ike got to shake his hand and gave him a little gift from the squadron.

Group photo.

After all of the important people left we got to tour the plane.

It was a neat thing to see.

Is this what it's like to be famous? :)

Ike and all of the guys.

Me and my hubby. All of the fun was over and it was only 615am. Time to move on with the rest of our day. Just in time to get the kids ready for school.

He even LOOKS older!

I guess now that he's 2 he has to be more serious. He looks very mature in this picture. Mason had a very nice birthday. We had no plans for today. Since it was during the week Julianna had school, Ike was at work and it was just Mason and me together all day. We played. We read books. We watched his favorite movie, Despicable Me. We snuggled. Oh, we also used the potty a lot. I am hoping we are back on a roll with the potty business. In the afternoon we had his 2 year doctors appointment and he weighs just barely under 30 lbs and is 34.5 inches tall. He's a good boy. He loves his Mama. What else could you ask for?

Here are some of his goodies. These are gifts from us, both grandparents and both sets of Aunts and Uncles. He made out well. In fact, he had such fun playing with each toy as he opened it that he still has a few to open tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Mason. We love you and that cute little smile SO much.

We partied like it was 2009...

...to celebrate Mason's BIRTHDAY!!
Can you guess the theme? La La La La! Let's Party for Mason's 2nd Birthday!!!

The Stutts Family Fun House was all set up for the kids to play.

The food was ready.

And Mason was READY TO PAR-TAY!

MEL-MO!! (That's how he says Elmo.)

Are more people coming?

Wooohoo. The party is in full swing.

And Mr. Mason seems to be having a wonderful time.

Oh boy. Time to eat cupcakes! I love how they decorate the cupcakes to look like one big sheet cake.

He wants to eat the icing. I do to. :)

Cheese! Mommy and the Birthday Boy!

The swingset was full of kids. I am so glad we got that thing. We have gotten the most use out of it. So happy to have it.

Who's that hiding in my tee-pee?

It's Me! It's Me! hahaha (Remember that from the cheerleaders on Saturday Night Live? Ok, maybe it's just me.)

Oh BOY!

Time to bounce. This is another awesome toy we were given from a neighbor who didn't want it anymore. Just like the swing set. Who doesn't want their own mini bounce house?

Super fun. Mason and Izzy bounced for a LONG time.

After everyone left we settled down and opened presents.

Pretty girl had a good day.

But these two were pooped after such a fun party. Time to zone out and watch Mason's new Elmo movie before bed. Night night!!!

Itsy Bitsy Workshop

There is a new parenting group on base that just started hosting workshops for children ages 18mos-4 years. This month was the very first one and it was so much fun. The theme was "Touch and Feel" and they had all types of sensory objects for the children. Mason had a blast.

They got to dig through colored rice to find shapes.

They got to paint. This was probably Mason's favorite part because he got really messy.

They made things with Playdough.

He made a nice Touch and Feel book.

And even got to touch and EAT some snacks! It was a realy fun morning. I'm looking forward to next month's workshop "Exploring the Outdoors."

After nap it was time to pick up Julianna from school. We stopped for a little playtime on the playground.

Here is the school yard. Schools are so different here than what I am used to. There are no hallways. Each classroom is a separate building so everything opens up to the outside. The school is right about 1 mile from our house so we walk in the mornings which is fun. Just another reason to love living here. :)

Silly Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone! Well, you are probably reading this on Monday morning. So I guess I should say HAPPY MONDAY! Seeing that sweet face should be a good start to your day. :) We had a fun Sunday... here's how it started.

When the day starts off like this you know it's going to be a good one.

After church a little bit of snuggling and movie watching.

Then we moved outside for a little art work.

And a photo session.

Peek-a-boo!

I see you!

Julianna showed off her painted sticks.

And Mason just played with a stick.

Then we had some fun on the swings. Weeeeeeeeee.

She stayed upside down for so long all the blood rushed to that pretty little face.

She came up for a while to do some twists on the rings. She was actually spinning really fast in this picture.

Mason took a break from driving Julianna's 4wheeler to watch.

But then he decided he needed to swing too.

Whoaaaaa!

See saw. Up and down.

I think they will sleep well tonight!
