We are on vacation!! Sorry for not posting in a while. I don't have a way to upload any pics while we are here but I will try to do it next week. We are visiting our family in Alabama this week and head to Maryland on Wednesday for a week. The kids did great on our 16 hour travel to get here. It always amazes me. I think I just set my expectations so low that I'm not disappointed! haha
We arrived on Wednesday morning and took that day to recover from traveling through the night. Thursday we went to see Ike's grandmother and had a nice visit with her. She enjoyed seeing the great-grandchildren. We also had a get together at Ike's parent's house that night with delicious food. Friday, Ike and Carlton started their golf tournament. We had a bad storm come through that delayed golfing and kept us from the pool. The kids were bummed about that but had fun playing together anyway. Yesterday, Saturday, Nana and Papa took all 4 grandchildren to the botanical gardens for the day. They had a great time and got to play in water and run around. Jennie-Marie and I spent the whole day laying at the pool with no children. We didn't know what to do with ourselves!! We even took a little trip through Target just because we could. The guys played 27 holes of golf yesterday. In the evening there was dinner and music as part of the golf weekend. Today the guys finish up with golf. This afternoon we are going to drive over to Memphis to see some friends and visit the Memphis Zoo tomorrow. We are hoping to meet up with 2 sets of friends that just recently moved from Hawaii to Memphis. We will also be visiting our good friends The Clay Family from when we lived there. I am really looking forward to it. And today is my BIRTHDAY. I was already seranaded with "Happy Birthday" this morning. I expect to spend more time by the pool with the kids today while the boys are playing golf. I'll be back as soon as I can with pictures. I hate getting behind on the blog but we are having so much fun. I'm just enjoying it! See you soon.

Dinner with Dad
We started celebrating Father's Day a little bit early. Ike and I both had wonderful massages this morning at our favorite spa. Then tonight we drove over to Hawaii Kai to Outback for dinner. We used to eat at Outback all the time but it's a bit of a drive to get there so we've only been once since we moved here. So, we decided to head that way tonight. It was fun. The kids were behaved (you never know these days!), dinner was good, and the drive over is beautiful. Tomorrow Ike is hitting up the golf course in the morning for more Father's Day fun. We love you Ike. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Command Picnic

Ike's squadron had a picnic for the entire command and their families at Bellows Air Force Base beach. Bellows is a beautiful beach. They had lots of entertainment for the kids, 2 water blow up features, and a regular bounce house. Plus a dunking booth, pies in the face, tug of war, clown making balloons. It was a good time. Mason and Julianna BOTH loved the water slide. Luckily Daddy was a really good sport and took Mason down about 25 times. :)
Magic Show and other cuteness
Here are a few of my favorite pics over the lat week or so. They had a magic show through the base library and the kids were very excited about that. The kids each got their own magic wand!

Doesn't it look like these 2 have fun together?! Well, they do... 30% of the time. The other 70% they whine about sharing, who had the toy first, who pushed who, etc. But man that 30% is REALLY cute. :)

Catching Up: Last Day of School
I am a little behind here, but I wanted to post a few pics of Julianna's last day of school. Just a group of her friends that I grabbed together for a quick photo session. The rest were busy having snack!

Thank you Miss Katie and Ms. Shannon for a wonderful year at St. Anthony School. We will miss you next year!

Waimea Falls
This post is a week late, still catching up from our super fun Memorial Day weekend! Last Sunday we decided to be tourists and check out one of the popular kid friendly hikes. We drove up to the North Shore to Waimea Falls. It did not disappoint. Easy 3/4 mile hike each way on a paved path. Even stroller friendly if necessary. Mason and Julianna both walked. Mason occasionally got a shoulder ride because he is easily distracted. It would have taken us forever. Once we got to the waterfall you can take dip in the cool water. There are lifeguards on duty and lifejackets, noodles, boogie boards, etc. It was great! A wonderful family day together.

Julianna wanted you to see how "long" her hair is getting. Long enough for 2 little french braids. Pretty cute. I had never done a french braid before but I thought it looks really cute on her. If we both have the patience, maybe we'll do it more often!
