Cheesecake Factory! Yum!

Julianna and Blake went on a date to the Cheesecake Factory tonight. Lots of fun and hand holding.

Look at those sweet kisses on the forehead. That's Blake's beautiful Mommy in the mirror. (If you couldn't tell, they are twins.)

Kalli Kalli is here to visit too... look at that yummy dessert! She liked feeding it to Kalli.

Water, Water, Everywhere!

We had a blast this afternoon playing with Blake at the Botanical Gardens children's park. They splashed and ran around and Lindsay and I could just sit and talk while they played. GLORIOUS!

Water at the WOW park.

Playing with Blake.

Mommy and her girl in the butterfly chair.

Look, we saw a turtle on our way back to the car.

Julianna got REALLY close to it! She wanted to pick it up.

Young Love

Seriously, how cute are they?

Having a "drink" on the beach. How romantic.

He is such a ladies man.

Walking hand in hand.

Ike, you may have to have a discussion with Blake. Find out exactly what his intentions are, you know?! Things are getting pretty serious.

This is what happens...

... when your husband isn't here to put sunscreen on you!

OUCH! The rest of me looks fine. That sunscreen really does work. Check out my shoulder where you can see I got a little sunscreen in one spot!
"That's Hot!"

Julianna's Day with Nana

Julianna and Nana in front of Stratford Hall

Peering into the kitchen...

Nana and "Silly Mary" are in town for the weekend and took Julianna to Stratford Hall Plantation today in Westmoreland County, Virginia. That is the birth place of Robert E. Lee and Ike went there when he was Julianna's age. Nana thought it would be fun to do the same trip with her. She enjoyed seeing the horses outside and talked about the "dining room" and the "tea parties." Nana said she was a very good girl and even though lunch took a really long time, she was very well behaved. I am glad that they had a good trip and day together. (I got to go shopping alone!) :)

Ike's Rough Day

So, here are a few pictures from Ike's rough day. He is always telling me how tired he is. No wonder with all of the "schmoozing" and sight seeing he is doing! haha

Ike was so happy to send me this pic. He called me and told me to check my email. When I opened it says "Did you see it." My response: "Yes.... who is it?" His heart was broken I'm sure.
You all know that I married into an Auburn family but I still can't keep up. Yes, that is coach Tommy Tuberville, head coach of Auburn football. Most people that read this are from Alabama so you already knew that. Sorry I didn't. I was very excited for him though. He got to hang out with him all day. Although Ike went to the Naval Academy he has been a Auburn Fan his entire life... and soon he will have a Masters Degree from Auburn. He can officially say he graduated from Auburn!

These were the 5 coaches who were visiting Ike's ship today.
Tommy Tuberville – Head Coach, Auburn University
Jack Siedlecki – Head Coach, Yale University
Charlie Weis - Head Coach, University of Notre Dame
Randy Shannon – Head Coach, University of Miami
Mark Richt – Head Coach, University of Georgia

Ike had a good day! :)

Don't forget to scroll down and see Julianna's fun on the slide from yesterday!

Her toys taste better than mine?!

Julianna and I are in Maryland this week. I had to work and we got to spend some time with Audrey and Bethany. Mom and I actually babysat Audrey for a few hours while Bethany had a work function. Here are some pics of the girls together. Audrey can say "Jules" so that was cute... and "shooz" (shoes).

Happy Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

We spent the weekend in Richmond at Chad and Sara's house with my parents and my brother's friend, Ryan. We had such a fun time playing RockBand on X-box. Has anyone else ever played this game, because, for real, I LOVED IT!! We played for about 5 hrs the first night. Around 12:30am we decided to call it a night because we had brunch reservations this morning! But as soon as we were home for lunch we were rockin' out in the basement again.

I seriously haven't had this much fun in a while. We kept rotating instruments (drums, bass and guitar) and vocals to keep everyone on their toes. It was pretty intense. Next time we are wearing costumes. (kidding, maybe)
That is Julianna's new boyfriend in the last pic. His name is Ryan but she calls him Rhino for his 'pet' name! :) So funny! Thanks for hanging out with us Rhino and bringing the entertainment! (the x-box and all of the instruments were his!)

Anyway, aside from "Rockin' Out", we made homemade ice cream (mint chocolate chip), had a catered lunch, via Ike, as a Mother's Day surprise, went to a street festival down the street from Chad and Sara's house, saw lots of animals, flowers, ponds and waterfalls at Maymont Park and just had a great visit spending time together. Ike sent me beautiful flowers and such a pretty pearl bracelet from Tiffany's. (oh la la)

So pretty! Thanks Ike! I LOVE YOU! (by the way, that is my best "Barker's Beauty" pose to model the bracelet.)

Julianna is teaching Pop-Pop how to play the Happy Birthday song.

Mommy and my girl at lunch! I love you!!!!

She looked so pretty in her dress.

The whole gang... just missing Ike! :(

My Mommy and my girl!!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a blessing!
