Man Work

Mason loves to help Daddy do "man stuff."  They made a lazy-susan table for Uncle Arthur out of some wood that he gave to Ike.  Mason even did some of the sanding all by himself.  I caught these out the bedroom window.  They were just finishing up.  So cute.

He is definitely Daddy's little buddy these days.

Children's Choir

Julianna has been quite the little performer at church this year.  They have sung in church several times and she always does a fantastic job.  She doesn't even complain about the robe.  ;)

The Christmas program was in mid-December.  Every music group in our church performed.  They all did a great job.  Mason was supposed to sing but he is not a fan of the stage.  Once he saw the robe there was no chance.

We are very proud of our little singer.  :)

It's feeling like Christmas (yes, I realize I am posting this late as always!)

I don't know why I am so late getting to my posts.  I guess just life is getting in the way.  The good news is that we are enjoying life and I'm just too tired to post at the end of the day.  Anyway, going back to the end of November.  Here is our decorated house.

And here are the kids in their Sunday clothes with our stockings.  I swear I had a better picture of this....

Santa!!

We went to see Santa this month.  Mason wasn't a fan.  He was fine from afar.  But he was not really excited about sitting on this hairy man's lap.  I don't blame him.  Santa needed to visit the barber.  They made their requests.  Julianna asked for a fish, bowl and fish food.  Mason asked for a football helmet.  Santa asked Mom if these gifts were acceptable and I approved so we'll see what happens.  We are all ready around here. Looking forward to spending time with family.  Julianna will sing at church on Christmas Eve.  I love to watch her sing at church.  More on that soon. :)

National Harbor Tree Lighting

The day after Thanksgiving we went to the tree lighting at the National Harbor.  They had a fantastic fireworks display and the weather was surprisingly warm.

After that we walked to the Gaylord at National Harbor.  Just a preview for us since we are all going this weekend to see the ICE spectacular which has a Shrek theme this year.  Very excited!

Thanksgiving 2012

We were so excited to finally spend a holiday with our family.  That was the hardest part about being in Hawaii.  Missing holidays.  We spent Thanksgiving in Maryland at my parent house.  It was wonderful.
As always, Mom had a beautiful table set.  I think there were 19 of us?

 Here's the kids table.

The table was complete with name tags and turkey plates.  :)

 The kids played outsite.

Ryan was an expert football hiker.

Mom basically did all of the food preparation.  Sara and I each brought a dish.  Our Delaware family brought the desserts.

Aunt Sara helped turn Julianna into a turkey.

No holiday is complete without a photo session.

Thank you for a wonderful meal and time spent with family.  We are very blessed.

Our friends next door, The Orts, had a HUGE leaf pile for the kids in the front yard.  Boy did we have fun with that!   Leaves + tire swing = Lots of SCREAMING and LAUGHING!!

DC Tourists

Last weekend we had great weather so we ventured into the city to be tourists for the afternoon.

Our visit must have inspired Ike and I so we went to see "Lincoln" at the theater on Tuesday night.  Great movie!! And what parent doesn't enjoy a night out alone!
