Happy Halloween!

Mommy and Me

Gabe shares his Pumpkin

Dr. Stutts at your service...

Hey, you're cute. Do you play football?

What does this pumpkin have in it?? Candy maybe??

Don't we make a cute team?

Hey, don't mind me, just stealin' a little candy! :) hehe

We had such a fun Halloween this year. Last year Julianna had no idea what was going on but this year she really had fun. She got to play with other kids and stay up past her bedtime. It was great. Our neighbors had us over for drinks and finger-foods and we passed out candy on our porch. We have a very family oriented neighborhood so we had lots of trick-or-treaters and lots of good costumes. We actually had several Spidermans with really big muscles. I don't remember Spiderman being that buff in the movies!?!
Nee Nee was here to babysit since I had to work today, she helped man the candy station...
Julianna dressed as Dr. Stutts. Nana made her scrubs and gave her the Doctor's Kit. She had a blast and so did we. Here are the pics. She was the doctor, I was her assistant. :)

By the way, Julianna is offically a walker. She still doesn't go very far but we had alot of fun with her today getting her to walk back and forth between Ike and I. Such a big girl...

I hate eBay!!!

So, today for the first time I decided to give eBay a try. Again, thanks to Jennie-Marie convincing me it would be "so much fun." BULL... It's crap. I was out bid on the adorable little raincoat that I was trying to get as a Christmas present for Julianna with only 6 seconds to go. I know I am new to the game, but in my opinion Ms. mauigirl87 is a total ^#*$& for sneaking in there on me at the last minute. She didn't even put up a fair fight. How rude!! haha

Julianna would have looked WAY cuter than her kid in that coat. :)

Ok, now I feel better. I had to vent! hahaha No hard feelings mauigirl87. I'll get ya next time...

Punkie Ball

This is an old Halloween decoration from my house growing up. It's just a little stuffed pumpkin... we named him "Punkie Ball." You have to say it with enthusiasm. "Punkieeee Baaalll!!!" Usually my brother, Chad, would just throw it at my head. Mom sent it here for Julianna to play with. It made her giggle. I won't let Uncle Chad throw it at her head.

Here is Caffrey with Punkie Ball

Because I am jealous...

I wanted a picture of MOMMY on here. I am always the one taking pics...

Here is me and my little pumpkin :)

See any similarities???

OH CRAP.... judging by these pics I'm afraid Ike might not be the father...

... they're actually clones

But seriously... this is ridiculous. All of the hard work I have done and I get NO CREDIT for her what-so-ever.

And yes... the outfit was to try to match Ike's pics, we don't usually dress her like a boy.

Lazy Days

lazy Caffrey

loungin around together

Ike, Julianna, Dave, Holly and Baghdad (a former co-worker of Dave and Ike's at the Pentagon)

We have had LOTS and LOTS of rain over the past few days. We needed it... but it sure does make for some boring days stuck inside. The weather cleared up last night and we had dinner with our good friends Dave & Holly at their place. It was so nice just to get out of the house and the added bonus was that dinner was REALLY, REALLY good! :)
Julianna had a little Halloween Party to go to in the neighborhood yesterday too. That was fun. We decorated a pumpkin and she got to test out her costume before the big Trick-or-Treat night. No pics yet of that... don't want to spoil the Halloween segment of the blog! haha

Where did that Cheerio go?

Just a little fun from breakfast this morning. Julianna put her head down on the highchair tray and came up with a little surprise.

Doll, Doll... Dooollll

She just makes me laugh.

Happy Birthday Caffrey

My Big Boy turned 3 today! Caffrey is my first child... he is a total Momma's boy and I love every minute of it.
He looks kinda scary in the picture but he is such a sweetie!

Also... good news. I am still Super Mom! I succesfully took Julianna and Lucy for a walk this evening. I was so happy for myself... I didn't even care that it looked like the sky was going to fall at any second, we just kept right on walking. As soon as we got home it poured again.

Jules and I had an awesome day together. Nothing really exciting happened we just had alot of fun. Here is a video from our jam session this evening.

Lesson Learned

Tonight I learned that I can no longer take the baby and the dog for a walk at the same time. I always kindof thought it was hard to do, but I had gotten pretty good at it. However, Julianna doesn't really like to RIDE in the stroller as much as she likes to PUSH the stroller now and that presents a whole new problem. Our dog (Freakshow Lucy) is... how do I put this delicately... a pain in the @&&. She isn't particularly well trained due to our lack of patience so the leash walking is not the easiest anyway. But walking at 1 year old speed, behind the stroller, and stopping to look at the flowers every time to get to a new house didn't go so well while trying to manage Lucy on the leash at the same time. I ended up in tears, Julianna in tears because she wanted to keep going, dragging Lucy by the collar and cursing under my breath just HOPING my neighbors wern't all outside looking at me. haha
Oh I forgot the best part.... I was also carrying the bag of dog crap that I had picked up after Lucy and we wern't moving towards the trash can quickly enough. I got several text messages as well while we were on our "walk" which only added to the chaos, I mean... FUN, and I ended up dropping my phone, stepping on it and the battery came off. I truely was one of those moments when I though... what in the &#^@ am I doing!
Motherhood.... even with all of its craziness... still the best thing I have ever done. We made it home, survived the bath and before I knew it she was asleep in my arms while I sang the 7th verse of Mary had a Little Lamb. Who knew it had so many verses. When I get really creative it goes up to about 12 verses I think... no repeats! :) Although sometimes I feel like I am on the verge of a meltdown, I wouldn't trade my life for anything...

We have a climber...

I guess it's time to buy a baby gate. These pics were taken after she had already climbed the first set of steps, sat and took a little break on the landing, and started up the 2nd half of the steps. Ofcourse I was right behind her but did take a step back to snap a few pics.
I was afraid this blog would become addicting... it has. The whole time she was climbing I was thinking "where is my camera, this would be great for the blog!" haha

I am just so amazed how fast kids learn things. It definitely keeps me on my toes.

I am so big, this is cool.

Wait a minute, how am I going to get back down??

Oh well, just keep climbing...

She walks...sort of

Man, I started this blog just in time!! Julianna took her first really ON PURPOSE steps this morning. She was concentrating very hard and seemed pretty pleased with herself when she did it. Or maybe she was just pleased that Mommy was jumping around screaming "Yay, You did it!! Big girl!!" Either way it was pretty cool.

Wait, is it ok that I am posting this before I tell Ike about it?? haha He better call home from work soon....

A Day at the Farm

Well, this was a very special trip for Julianna. "A Day at the Farm" happens to be her favorite Baby Einstein DVD. Well, this weekend we got to visit a relatives farm in Elkton, VA and see real piggies and cows and even ride on the tractor!!! I know, I know, it sounds too good to be true. haha But I have proof... The leaves were changing and it was BEAUTIFUL!

Stutts Visit

Nana, Papa, Aunt Jennie Ree, Unkie Carl and 2 month old cousin Emma Hensley all drove 13 hours in 1 car to come and visit us. That made us feel very special. They had not all seen our new neighborhood so we had a nice visit and we always love spending time with them. We drove over to Colonial Williamsburg on Friday and did a little shopping. Saturday there was an Auburn Football game on tv so the guys were pretty much glued to the tube, but we did get to visit Ike's ship in the morning. And Sunday... well that was a really fun day for Julianna. It gets its own post...

The whole gang.... minus a few pets

I love you, cousin. I want to give you lots and lots of kisses!

Stutts kids, with their kids...

Yes, matching pj's... ofcourse
Hanging out by Daddy's ship

Julianna's Birthday

I'm ONE!

We survived a whole year! YAY!

These are for me, right??

Oh boy!!! ANOTHER ONE! :) hehe

As most of you know, Julianna celebrated her 1st Birthday at the beginning of the month. We had a party at my parent's house (NeeNee and Pops) with some of our family and friends. Ike and I were really excited to see everyone. Since we moved we don't get to see our friends and family often enough.

However, the Stutts side of the family wasn't able to make it up for the party so we celebrated again this weekend at our house. Julianna is a very lucky lady!!! 2 birthday parties!! :) And 2 birthday cakes!! yum...

Here are a few pics of the birthday girl. She got wonderful gifts from everyone. We are going to have a fun time playing with all of the new goodies at our house!

I'm BLOOGGGINGGG!

So, here we are. My first post...
I will start with a brief description of our family:

Our house feels like a 3 ring circus. I have 4 kids... Julianna, Lucy (our springer puppy), Caffrey (our playfull tabby cat) and Ike (my wonderful husband)! :)

Julianna and I hang out together everyday while Daddy, I mean Ike, is at work and we can't wait until he gets home. We spend most of the day taking walks, reading books, watching Baby Einstein, and trying to get the cat off the kitchen counter. haha

I do have a mild addiction to my daughter. I think she is amazing. As my friends all know I take WAY TOO MANY pictures. Congratulations!!...You just signed up to see them ALL!
just kidding... but there will be LOTS of pics here of all of our fabulous outtings. Hope you enjoy reading our blog!
