Ike and his Commanding Officer from Hawaii both were able to take part in the Veteran's Day celebration at Julianna's school. They came to speak to the class and taught them about service and aviation. Julianna loved having her Daddy there. Isn't it neat at Julianna and Robby (CO's son) are in the same class here in Virginia?! They have been good friends for a long time now. It's great to have some "old" friends even though we move so often.

NYC: American Girl
We had to head back home on Sunday because Julianna and Mason both had school on Monday. We could have skipped I guess, but it was Veteran's Day and Daddy had a special presentation in Julianna's class so we needed to get back. One last fun stop before saying goodbye. Shopping at NYC's American Girl store and brunch.

The girls picked out outfits for Christmas, got the doll's hair done and enjoyed a delicious brunch. Mason, and all of the Daddies were good sports. The rest of the crew had more fun planned but it was time for us to head home. We had the best time. The kids are still talking about the trip. They loved it!

NYC: Rockettes
This was the main event. Radio City Music Christmas Spectacular!!
After the show, which was wonderful as always, we took a carriage ride through Central Park.
NYC: Sightseeing
Nana has been talking about this for quite a while now. Last week it happened and it was wonderful. We all went to New York City and had a blast. Of course the cousins have fun no matter where we are or what we do. In fact, I asked all of the kids what their favorite part was... don't tell Nana but they all said "riding in the taxi with no car seats." :)
The big girls were working on their Rockette poses on our way to the Empire State Building. We had to pose for a picture in front of Macy's.
Here is the view from the top of the Empire State Building. Freedom Tower stands tall to the left and Lady Liberty shines to the right. We did not have enough time to take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty but we do plan to go back sooner rather than later.
The Stutts Family, Top of the Empire State Building, 2013
The Chrysler Building on the left.
It was REALLY cold up there but the kids were good sports.
Here is the whole crew with Nana and Papa.
Crazy Uncle Carlton, photobomber. :)
After walking around and sightseeing for a bit we had lunch and a quick recharge at the hotel. More fun was right around the corner....
This HILARIOUS picture is proof of how much fun we had in the taxi. Ike was in the trunk with the stroller. That his hand letting us know he's OK. JM and I in the back seat with 5 children. And Carlton comfortably taking this picture from the front seat. SO FUN!
